Specialists divided overweight volunteers into three groups. The first took a placebo daily, the second participants drank one cup of green tea a day, and the third participants took two. The result showed that, despite the absence of any changes in the calorie content of the diet and the previous level of physical activity, the volunteers from the third group lost an average of 1, 2 kg of weight, 1, 9 cm in waist circumference, and their share decreased intra-abdominal fat.
According to experts, green tea helps reduce body weight, increasing energy expenditure and fat oxidation. Overweight people need to drink 2-3 cups of green tea per day.
